This opportunity is available as a part-time (20 hours/week) position with the City of Capitola.  Salary Range $54.50 to $66.25 an hour. Per CalPERS requirements, retired annuitants are not eligible for this position. 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Possession of at the time of hire and continued maintenance of a valid California driver’s license and a safe driving record. Also Possession of within two years of hire and continued maintenance of Internal Code Council Building Official Certification.

The Capitola Police Department will host National Night Out on Tuesday, August 1 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Jade Street Park. The event will feature free BBQ, a meet and greet with the Chief and other police officers, and fun & games for all.

The scenic six-mile race is run on gently rolling hills in local seaside streets.  The weather conditions for race morning are typically perfect:  cool, 60 degrees, calm and foggy, but by noon, the skies are clear and warm. The Finish Line is at the corner of Cliff & Wharf Road by the Capitola Wharf.
