NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Hearing will be held before the City Council of the City of Capitola on Thursday, January 23, 2014, at the hour of 7:00 P.M. in the City Hall Council Chambers, 420 Capitola Avenue, Capitola, California, to consider an Ordinance amending Chapter 10.36.055 of the Capitola Municipal Code amending parking meter Zone B.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Hearing will be held before the City Council of the City of Capitola on Thursday, February 13, 2014, at the hour of 7:00 P.M. in the City Hall Council Chambers, 420 Capitola Avenue, Capitola, California, to consider amending the Fiscal Year 2013-2014 Capitola Fee Schedule to incorporate Animal Services Authority Fees, Green Energy Incentive Fees, and Village Sidewalk Signs Fees.

On December 5, 2013, the Santa Cruz Regional Transportation Commission funded the following two City grant requests:

• $200,000 for trail along the railroad corridor from the Pacific Cove Parking lot to Monterey Avenue.

• $90,000 for the design of the roundabout at Bay Avenue and Capitola Avenue.

In March 2012 the Capitola City Council approved the “41st Avenue Median Public Art Project.” It is being created by Troy Corliss (Artist). This is by far the most significant art project that the City has undertaken, and is scheduled for completion this winter. The project will consist of large bright and colorful translucent “ocean theme” panels made of crushed glass and silicone. The assorted panels will appear as sails, kayaks and surfboards.
