City Events

The City of Capitola has a proud tradition of offering the community a wide range of visual and performing arts events. Throughout the summer, Esplanade Park comes alive with the popular Wednesday night Twilight Concerts, while select summer Sundays feature vibrant Makers Markets and lively New Music Sundays showcasing local talent. Enjoy the excitement of Boogie on the Wharf, a community favorite filled with great music and dancing by the sea. Family-friendly Movies on the Beach light up Friday evenings in August and September, and Food Truck Fridays bring delicious fun once a month from May through August. Check out the event listings below for specific dates and details!

FREE MOVIES at CAPITOLA BEACH 

Movies begin at dusk. All movies are shown on the bandstand stage in Esplanade Park. Attendees are encouraged to bring seating.  Low back chairs and blankets are recommended. Consider bringing a picnic dinner, or dine locally at area restaurants.  No alcohol or dogs on the beach.
