2026 Citywide Garage Sale
Celebrate Earth Day by giving unwanted items a renewed purpose! Mark your calendars for the Capitola Citywide Garage Sale on Saturday, April 18th. If you're interested in hosting a garage sale at your address, please register online by April 16 at 1 pm. You'll include your address, the opening and closing time of your sale, and a list of items you'll have.
If you simply want to browse and make purchases, grab a map and go find that one-of-a-kind treasure! The Friday before the Garage Sale (by noon), a map will be available to the public at City Hall (420 Capitola Ave.) and on our website listing all the addresses of the garage sale participants.
After the Garage Sale, package up your unsold items for GreenWaste Recovery to pick up the week of April 20 - April 25 on your regular garbage day. Or, even better, donate the items to a charitable cause of your choice. This is a terrific opportunity to clean out your garage, and help to divert refuse from our landfills by reusing and recycling!
Registration will be available starting in March.
