Anne LaBrie

For the past year, the City of Capitola has showcased local artists in City facilities, including the Police Department lobby. We are pleased to announce that Ms. Anne LaBrie is our featured artist for November and December 2013. Ms. LaBrie is a local photographer who creates expressive abstract digital art. The technical process for these works begins with a simple photograph of everyday objects, shapes and spontaneous organic forms. The photograph is transformed with special filters that, at times, reveal unusual expressions or metaphors. Come by the Police Lobby and enjoy the show anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, or between 8:00 a.m. and 12 (noon) on Friday.
