This is opportunity is open only to regular employees of the City of Capitola.

The Community Service Officer is a non-sworn position in the Capitola Police Department represented by the Capitola Police Officers Association.

The function of the Community Service Officer is to relieve sworn police officers from those duties that do not necessarily require a sworn officer and perform the functions of the Animal Control officer.

This is a field position functioning under the supervision of a patrol sergeant.
