Camp Capitola
Camp Capitola, is a summer day camp located at Jade Street Park and offers a variety of activities including outdoor games, sports, arts and crafts, drama, and weekly beach days. Additionally Classic Campers will take a number of walking field trips for special activities. Camp Capitola serves youth ages 4 years and 9 months to 14 years of age.
Our goal is to create a safe and enjoyable youth program experience for all. Capitola Recreation youth programs operate at ratio of 1 staff member to 12 participants. As youth work professionals we understand that from time to time participant’s need a little extra support and staff will maintain the “rule of 3” when behavior coaching or support is necessary. However, if a participant’s behavior or support need requires more attention than the 1:12 ratio allows, the family may be advised to explore a more suitable program for the safety of all participants.
