I started this painting when the peaceful protests and riots were happening regarding George Floyd. I originally created this as a flag or beacon of hope using bright saturated colors to heal the darkness that was consuming my mind. As I watched live streams of chaos erupting across the nation, I was fueled with a burning desire to change the world. The only way I believe I can do that is by following my passion and sharing the power of love and creation. I finished the painting the day of the annual solar eclipse which inspired the black hole eclipse in the painting. I see the profile of my skull, with a black hole as my brian, and pineal gland glowing bright green, the color of the heart chakra. I like to think of my details as fractal energy bouncing around in and out of my own mind as I navigate the flow state art brings me. I had only been painting 11 months before I began this piece and had been learning how to paint for 8 hours a day every single day up until this point. This piece is a reflection of the beginning of my journey as an artist and the fire that was awakened within me to create art not just for myself, but for the benefit of humanity.
