Life in a Bubble

Life in a Bubble

Artist: Linda M. Amoruso
Media: Transparent Watercolor

"Life In A Bubble" was inspired by a visit to The New York Guggenheim last year. Helma af Klint recently received recognition as pre-dating Kandinsky and Miro as the first abstract artist with her 1907 suite, "The Ten Largest". Af Klint's work moved me in ways that were life-changing. My interpretation of her mystical work captured my sense of isolation from others due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I hope to portray the profound disconnection and untethered reality of this strange year in this ethereal watercolor.
