Tempest

I titled this piece "Tempest" as it represents the overwhelm that was 2020. Much of the year felt like a chaotic, wild sea whose layered waves swirled with anxiety, fear, loss, and confusion. Yet, within this chaos, the horizon and sky were always visible; a beacon of hope and light.

My inspiration comes from both nature and the urban world, finding the beauty in transforming objects and scenes into bold, graphic images that explore the relationship between color, balance and form. I love using different mediums, including acrylic, gouache, watercolor and screen printing. I am a professional designer, illustrator and artist living in Aptos, CA.
