The City of Capitola invites residents of the Depot Hill neighborhood and concerned community members to attend a meeting on Thursday, February 23, at 4:30 p.m. in the Capitola City Hall Community Room to discuss the recent bluff erosion and status of the Grand Avenue pathway.

The Capitola Begonia Festival returns Sept. 1-4, 2017, for its 65th and final festival.

This annual four-day tradition celebrates the begonia growing and water festival history of Capitola. Brilliant begonias remain its focal point even as the number of events has blossomed. The “gem" of the festival is the Nautical Parade of begonia-covered floating barges, heralded by the arrival of countless handpicked begonia blossoms.  Nearly every Capitola resident has memories of building a float, picking begonias, or watching the parade.

The Santa Cruz County Clerk reminds local voters that no postage is required for the November 8 General Election mail-in ballots. In addition, voters have numerous locations to drop off ballots before election day, including both a 24-hour drop box in the front parking lot of Capitola City Hall and in our lobby during business hours.

Last day to register to vote in the November 8 Presidential General is Monday, October 24
