The City of Capitola is hosting a Community Workshop to get input on the desired experience and character of the future Capitola Library.

Capitola Community Center, 4400 Jade Street, Capitola

Input from the workshop will be utilized to create inspirational conceptual graphics of the future library.  Participate and share your vision with library architects, staff, and your community!

Capitola residents can take advantage of extra trash pick-up on their regular service days. Each household is allowed one bulky item and seven bags or cans of garbage, not to exceed 50 pounds each. All items must be curbside by 6 a.m. Household hazardous waste will not be accepted. For bulky items please call GreenWaste Recovery to schedule a pick up at 800-665-2209.

The annual Capitola Village Children’s Halloween Parade will be Sunday, Oct. 25. The line-up begins at 1:30 p.m. in the Village and Beach Parking Lot 1 behind Capitola City Hall. The parade begins at 2 p.m. and heads down Capitola Avenue through the Village. It ends at Esplanade Park, where there will be refreshments. Participants may trick-or-treat in Capitola Village shops following the parade. The event is sponsored by the Capitola-Soquel Chamber of Commerce and Capitola Village Businesses.
