Free Agent List

Want to play but don't have a team? Capitola Recreation has a "free agent" list for all the sports we offer. If you are new to the area, or do not have a team ready to go, you can add your name to this list. Call Kurt Edwards, Sports Coordinator, at 475-3598, or e-mail kedwards@ci.capitola.ca.us, with the following information:

• Your name & telephone number
• What sport you are interested in
• Your skill level, experience, or other information relative to that sport

The list is made available to managers throughout the season. There is no guarantee that you will be picked up by a team; however, if there is any open play or managers' meeting related to the sports you are interested in, that is a good opportunity to meet the people that count and maybe show off your skills! If you are picked up by an established team, you may be asked to pay a portion of the league fee if the team does not have sponsor. Occasionally the Sports Coordinator will start a new team from the free agent list; in this case, costs to individuals will vary. Players on a team formed by the Recreation Department will usually be charged a flat rate to cover the cost of the league fee. If an established team picks you up, you may be asked to pay your portion of the league fee. Once picked up, please call and have your name removed from the list.
