Human Resources - Personnel

Personnel is a division of the City Manager’s Office. Personnel is responsible for the following:

  • Recruitment of New Employees (development of job descriptions/specifications and flyers, advertising, scheduling/coordination of screening processing and interviews);
  • Internal Recruitment and Promotions
  • Hiring of New Employees - pre-employment paperwork and physical exam processing;
  • Orientation of New Employees to the organization and its policies - personnel policies, performance evaluations, discipline and grievances, MOUs, and leave programs;
  • Administration of Employee Benefits
  • Employee Training
  • Procurement of City Insurance & Claims Administration for Workers’ Compensation & General Liability
