What this open house is about

The City of Capitola is hosting a combined drop-in community open house to gather input on two related transportation safety projects:

• Local Roadway Safety Plan (LRSP)(Project Link) – A citywide safety plan that identifies priority projects and makes Capitola eligible for state and federal roadway safety funding.

• Bay Avenue Corridor Project (Project Link) – Refining safety and mobility concepts from Highway 1 to Park Avenue.

Bringing these efforts together in one session allows the community to see how they connect and provide input on both at the same time.

Why your input matters

Community feedback will help refine corridor concepts, set citywide safety priorities, and ensure local knowledge informs project design.

Who should attend

• Residents, businesses, and property owners along Bay Avenue
• People who walk, bike, roll, or take transit in Capitola
• Families and school community members who travel Bay Avenue
• Anyone interested in citywide safety and mobility improvements

How to participate

• Drop in anytime between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.
  Visit project displays, talk with staff and consultants, and share your feedback. Information will be available throughout the event for review and discussion at your own pace.
