On March 26, 2020, the City Council passed a urgency eviction ordinance which applies to residential and commercial tenants who are unable to pay their rent due to a reduction of income, loss of wages, or substantial out of pocket medical expenses as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. This ordinance prohibits any eviction resulting from economic losses or medical expenses related to the COVID-19 pandemic, effective immediately upon its adoption on March 26th, 2020.
