What is Daylighting

Did you know that every intersection is a crosswalk?
When two streets intersect, there is either a marked crosswalk or there is an “unmarked” crosswalk. As part of the recently passed Assembly Bill (AB) 413, it is now illegal to park 20 feet in advance of either type of crosswalk even if the curb is not painted red. AB 413 is also known as the “daylighting” law.

Janitorial Services for City Facilities

The City of Capitola Public Works Department (City) is soliciting proposals from qualified janitorial service providers to secure the performance of professional janitorial services, which will provide necessary routine cleaning services as well as occasional special cleaning services for areas managed by the City’s Public Works Department.

McGregor Asphalt Pump Track

The City of Capitola invites proposals for the follwing Design-Build Project:

McGregor Asphalt Pump Track

Only contractors who have been prequalified through the prequalification process are eligible to submit bids for this project.

General work description:

Design and construction of a modern asphalt pump track at McGregor Park. The project involves redeveloping the existing earthen track into a durable, low maintenance facility.
Construction is anticipated in Fall 2024. The maximum budget for the Project is $80,000.

Bay and Hill St. Intersection Quick-Build
