The Capitola Public Works Department performs inspections on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9am-12pm. Inspections must be scheduled two full business days in advance. Inspection requests are not guaranteed and may be subject to change depending on the inspectors' workload and routes for that day.

Report a Public Works Concern or Request

The City of Capitola Public Works Department regularly performs:

  • Storm drain cleaning 
  • Pothole repairs
  • Vegetation maintenance in parks and public rights-of-way
    Private property owners are responsible for keeping adjacent sidewalks and rights-of-way clear of vegetation or obstructions to pedestrians and vehicles.

Capitola Wharf Resiliency and Public Access Improvement Project - Phase 2

Wharf Resiliency and Public Access Improvement Project – Phase 2

Phase 2 of the Wharf Resiliency and Public Access Improvement Project will be brought to Council for approval in summer 2022. This project will widen the narrow section of the wharf, repair failing pilings, re-deck wharf, and add new restrooms.
