Attempted Armed Robbery

On January 25, 2013 at about 9:00 pm, the Victim was in her vehicle waiting at the traffic signal on Clares Street and Capitola Road. An unknown male was standing on the sidewalk and began walking towards her passenger side window. The male withdrew a handgun, pointed at the victim and continued walking towards her. Fearing for her safety, the Victim accelerated away from the suspect and called the police. The suspect was last seen running westbound on Capitola Road. Capitola Police units circulated the area but were not able to locate the suspect. If anyone has any information regarding this incident please contact the Capitola Police Department.
