Streets

The Public Works Street Department combines engineering and maintenance crews into a cohesive unit to develop and maintain a responsive and coordinated team. The Department goals are to serve the public while developing employee growth and development. New and old technologies are used to best achieve outstanding results.

Parks

The City of Capitola Parks, a division of the Public Works Department, is responsible for maintenance of all City owned parks. All parks in the City are open from 6 a.m. to sunset.

The pump track at McGregor Park is complete! We are so excited to have this great addition to McGregor Park.

Dogs shall be permitted on leash in the following parks: Monterey Avenue Park, Noble Gulch Park, Perry Park, Soquel Creek Park, Jade Street Park (except for lawn and tennis court areas), and Esplanade Park (except for lawn areas).

Facilities

The Public Works Facilities Department strives to improve and maintain the existing city owned buildings and other facilities in such a way as to maximize the benefit to both the Public and City staff.

Fleet Maintenance

The Public Works Fleet Department will maintain all mobile equipment for the City in the safest operating condition possible while striving to minimize repair times and costs.
