Wharf Resiliency and Public Access Improvement Project – Phase I

Phase 1 of the Wharf Resiliency and Public Access Improvement Project was completed in 2021. The project repaired the steel piles at the head of the wharf, by encasing them in a new host pipe and backfilling the entire pile with slurry; and repaired the wharf structure underneath the wharf buildings.

General work description:

Fall Clean-up Week

Capitola residents are entitled to extra trash service during the Fall Clean-Up Week, Oct. 11-15.  All items must be curbside by 5 a.m. on the regular day of service.

GreenWaste will allow each customer seven bags or cans (50 pounds maximum each) and one bulky item. It cannot accept tires, rocks, concrete, construction lumber, hazardous waste or paint.

RFQ - Pavement Management Design Services

The City of Capitola, Department of Public Works, is seeking a consultant to provide pavement management planning and design support services.  The primary scope of work will include assisting the City in developing a multi-year street improvement schedule, developing the most economical repair alternatives, and preparation of construction plans, specifications and estimates.
