Unified Corridor Study Workshops: Oct 15 & 16

The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) is hosting public workshops to get input on community transportation options based on the results of the Unifed Corridor Investment Study draft Step 2 analysis. This study investigates which projects on Highway 1, Soquel Avenue/Soquel Drive/Freedom Boulevard, and the Santa Cruz Branch Rail Line will be most beneficial to our community.

On Wednesday June 27th at 6 p.m., the City Public Works Department will hold a public workshop to gather community input of potential traffic calming measures aimed at addressing traffic concerns on Topaz Street and throughout the entire Greater Jewel Box area.  Your input is critical in developing a plan that can be endorsed by the community for presentation to the City Council.

The Department of Public Works for the City of Capitola has prequalified the general contractors listed below to submit construction bids for the Capitola Branch Library:

Wharf Rehabilitation Project Community Workshop Monday May 14

On Monday, May 14, at 6 p.m., the Capitol Public Works Department will hold a second community workshop to discuss plans for the Wharf Rehabilitation Project. This workshop will focus on reviewing conceptual drawings and uses for the Wharf. The workshop will be held in the City Hall Community Room. Community members are encouraged to attend.

Park Avenue Sidewalk Improvement Workshop Thursday May 17

On Thursday, May 17, at 6 p.m., the City will hold a public workshop to discuss plans for the Park Avenue Sidewalk Improvement Project. The focus of the workshop will be to review the planned improvements and expected design elements between Monterey Avenue and Cabrillo Street.

The workshop will be held in the City Hall Community Room.

Capitola Branch Library Approved General Contractors

The attached list are contractors who have been pre-qualified and can submit construction bids for the Capitola Branch Library Project.  Its is currently anticipated that the bid documents, including plans and specifications will be distributed on or around the first of May 2018.
