The City of Capitola is seeking qualifications from a consultant with expertise in identified areas to serve as part of the City’s team focused on the development of a five‐year strategic plan for the recreation division.

The Northern half of the Lower Pacific Cove Parking Lot is closed until further notice due to a fallen tree. No through-traffic between Bay Avenue and Capitola Avenue will be permitted. Thank you!

The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) is hosting public workshops to get input on community transportation options based on the results of the Unifed Corridor Investment Study draft Step 2 analysis. This study investigates which projects on Highway 1, Soquel Avenue/Soquel Drive/Freedom Boulevard, and the Santa Cruz Branch Rail Line will be most beneficial to our community.

On Wednesday June 27th at 6 p.m., the City Public Works Department will hold a public workshop to gather community input of potential traffic calming measures aimed at addressing traffic concerns on Topaz Street and throughout the entire Greater Jewel Box area.  Your input is critical in developing a plan that can be endorsed by the community for presentation to the City Council.
