41st Avenue Multimodal Improvements and Pavement Rehabilitation Project
The City of Capitola’s Department of Public Works is currently soliciting bids for construction of the following project:
41st Avenue Multimodal Improvements and Pavement Rehabilitation Project
General Work Description:
The project includes rehabilitation of the existing pavement using Partial Depth Recycling (PDR) along 41st Avenue from Clares Street to the County/City boundary, together with striping and signing improvements to enhance bicycle accessibility and improve lane selection for wayfinding. Work also includes replacement of two signal poles and one curb ramp/return at the Gross Road and 41st Avenue intersection, signal modifications at the State Route (SR)-1 southbound ramp terminal intersection, SR-1 wayfinding pavement markings, and bicycle facility improvements.
The project will be bid using a Base Bid with an Additive Alternate. The Base Bid includes improvements from the Gross Road intersection to the northbound City limits, and the Additive Alternate includes improvements from the Clares Street curb return to the Gross Road curb return.

Bids must be submitted by 11:00 AM on Monday, March 16, 2026
