The City of Capitola is recruiting for the posistion of Information Systems Specialist.  This position is responsible for the installation, support, and maintenance of all the information technology systems at the City of Capitola.  The candidate will work with a managed service provider for after hours support.

The City of Capitola is currently recruiting a 3/4 time Recreation Assistant.

The posistion will be part of the Capitola Recreation team at the Jade Street Park Community Center

The State of California requires most candidates or groups that solicit donations and spend money related to an election to file forms allowing the public to see where they are getting and spending their money. In an effort to both make the process easier for local committees to file and for the public to have access to this information, the Capitola City Council passed an ordinance in August 2018 implementing electronic campaign filing.

The Capitola-Soquel Chamber of Commerce hosted a Capitola City Council Candidates Forum in the City of Capitola Council Chambers on Wednesday, October 3.  Candidates discussed their priorities and answered questions for about two hours.

The forum also will be rebroadcast periodically by Community Television of Santa Cruz County.
