View Election Campaign Filings

The State of California requires most candidates or groups that solicit donations and spend money related to an election to file forms allowing the public to see where they are getting and spending their money. In an effort to both make the process easier for local committees to file and for the public to have access to this information, the Capitola City Council passed an ordinance in August 2018 implementing electronic campaign filing.

The Capitola-Soquel Chamber of Commerce hosted a Capitola City Council Candidates Forum in the City of Capitola Council Chambers on Wednesday, October 3.  Candidates discussed their priorities and answered questions for about two hours.

The forum also will be rebroadcast periodically by Community Television of Santa Cruz County.
