Capitola Recreation introduces a free winter Family Movie Night series. See recent releases one Friday each month at the Capitola Community Center, 4400 Jade Street. 

Doors open at 6 p.m. and movies start at 6:30 p.m. Free popcorn and churros included, but bring your own low-back chairs, pillows, and blankets. Seating limited to 200 people.

• December 6: Dumbo 2019
• January 24: Moana
• February 21: Mary Poppins Returns

At 1:10 pm, the Capitola Police Department was notified by Santa Cruz County Office of Emergency Services that Santa Cruz County has been removed from the scheduled 11/20 public safety power shutoff. We encourage you to monitor local news, PG&E website, and other trusted social media sites as well as Nextdoor for updated information as it becomes available.
