ELECTION RESULTS

The tallying of ballots and final certification of election results for Capitola and all Santa Cruz County jurisdictions is handled by the Santa Cruz County Clerk/Elections. Votes were cast for the candidate for the office of Member of the City Council for full terms of four (4) years as follows:

State Approves Santa Cruz County Variance: More Businesses Allowed to Reopen

The California Department of Public Health has approved the Santa Cruz County's request for a variance from the base-level restrictions associated with Stage 2 of California's Resilience Roadmap. Effective immediately, with certain expections outlined in a supplemental SC County Health Order, the Health Officer authorizes all business operations and activities allowed by the state of California in Stage 2 with an approved variance to resume.

Capitola Schedule Changes Due to COVID- 19

In response to guidelines issued by the County of Santa Cruz Health Services Agency.  The City of Capitola has made the following scheduling changes to events and programs.

New Exhibition Reception at the Historical Museum - Postponed until later date

Battle of the Bands - Postponed until later date

Capitola Recreation Adult Classes - Cancelled through March 22, 2020

Annual City Wide Garage Sale April 21, 2020 Postponed 

 

 

Spring Clean Up Week 2020

Take advantage of this service provided by GreenWaste
Recovery to help you with your spring cleaning! Dispose of one
bulky item and seven bags or cans of garbage, not to exceed 50
lbs. each. All items must be curbside by 6:00 a.m. on your regular
day of service. Household hazardous waste will not be accepted.

pick up at 800-665-2209.

Annual City Wide Garage Sale 2020 - Postponed

Due to the current Public Health Crisis.  The Annual City Wide Garage Sale will be postponed.  As soon as we can move forward with this we will let everyone know.
