Capitola Junior Guard Refund Policy

PLEASE READ BEFORE ENROLLMENT

The Capitola Recreation Department must arrange staffing, supplies and equipment needs for the entire summer at the beginning of the summer. Refunds thus have a significant impact on the City’s ability to provide camp services. For that reason, we ask that you review and agree to the following policies and statement prior to enrolling a participant in the Camp.

• For refunds two weeks before the beginning of a session, the City will provide a full refund, less a $50 fee.
• For refunds requested within two weeks of the start of a session, the City will provide a refund of 50% of the fees paid.
• No refunds will be given after the second day of the program.
• If the session is canceled for a COVID-19 related reason the City will provide a pro-rated refund based on the remaining number of days in the session.
• If a participant becomes sick or is injured during the session, and the illness or injury precludes the participant’s continuation in the program, the City will provide a pro-rated refund based on the remaining number of days in the session. You may be required to provide documentation regarding the illness or injury.
• No refund will be provided if a participant is suspended or removed from the program for disciplinary reasons.
