Assault with a Deadly Weapon

On January 26, 2013 at about 1:10AM, Capitola Police Officers responded to the 200 block of Esplanade for a report of three subjects in a physical fight. Officers arrived on scene and determined one of the males was a victim of a stab wound to his upper torso. Witnesses reported seeing two suspects fleeing on foot. Neither suspect was located after and extensive search of the area. The victim was transported to Dominican Hospital and treated for his injuries.

Illegal Discharge of Firearm with Injury

On 02/06/2013 at approximately 1813 hours, fire/paramedic personnel were dispatched to a report of a subject with a broken leg in the 5000 block of Cliff Drive. When fire/paramedic personnel arrived on scene they determined the victim, identified as Isaias Escobar Flores was suffering from a single gunshot wound to the leg. When Capitola Police Officers arrived on scene and attempted to obtain statements from Flores and an associate he was with, both of them were uncooperative. Both subjects initially refused to cooperate with the police investigation.
